Welcome to the Haitian Diaspora United blog! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected by this terrible earthquake.  Right now, in these trying times we are experiencing a roller coaster of emotions. How can I help? How can I get to Haiti right now? Are my family members okay? How are organizations helping? What are people doing? Is there anything going on in my local community? I could go on and on but I think you get the point.

This is why we have created this blog. We wanted to create a central location where people could find answer to questions they may have and inform people on what is going on and how individuals can help in Haiti Relief efforts. Our hope is that you will use this site to exchange information and share your thoughts on things going on in Haiti and your local communities.

We will update the information on this blog weekly so please visit frequently. If you would like to post information please send an email to Rose6040@gmail.com, fredjoseph82@yahoo.com, or tatou1826@hotmail.com. You can also just post information through the comment section. If there are events going on in your state please let us know so that we can post that information.

This is the time we need to come together and unite to help rebuild the country and the people of Haiti. We urge you all to take initiative and contribute to Haiti relief efforts in any way you can. Haiti is going to need everyone’s help not just today but for years to come.

The future depends on what we do in the present. – Mahatma Gandhi
